Reduce Cyber Risk Without Adding More Complexity

Security leaders and business owners face changing threats, expanding compliance requirements, and growing pressure to demonstrate that their controls work. For organizations managing multiple companies or clients, including managed service providers, private equity firms, brokers, and consultants, maintaining a consistent view of risk becomes even more difficult.

Antigen simplifies the process through Resilience by Design, a standards-aligned and risk-informed approach to cyber risk management. The methodology combines real insurance claims, carrier underwriting requirements, recognized security frameworks, and documented evidence to show where risk exists and which improvements will have the greatest impact.

The result is a clear assessment of your Current Estimated Risk, a prioritized security roadmap, and measurable evidence of progress.

Turn security performance into measurable risk reduction

1. Assess your risk and insurance requirements

Complete one structured assessment covering governance, identity, endpoints, email, cloud services, networks, data protection, backup and recovery, incident response, vendors, and insurance. Scoping questions activate only the requirements that apply to your organization, so irrelevant controls do not count against your score.

2. Score your security posture

Each answer receives a consistent score, while controls shown to affect incident frequency and cost receive greater weight. The weighted results produce an overall rating from Critical to Excellent and show your position across NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls, ISO/IEC 27001, OWASP SAMM, and applicable CMMC requirements.

3. Translate controls into financial risk

Antigen evaluates how your control profile affects the likelihood and potential cost of an incident. Cyber insurance, immutable backups, managed detection, and identity protection help determine the organization’s potential worst-case risk tier. The model combines estimated likelihood and severity to calculate expected annual loss.

4. Build and validate your roadmap

Your roadmap prioritizes the measures most likely to reduce risk based on claims data, business needs, and insurer expectations. As improvements are completed and supporting evidence is reviewed, Antigen reassesses the organization. Scores, risk tiers, and expected loss estimates change only when the underlying controls change.

Security, risk, and insurance working together

Antigen connects cybersecurity performance with risk management and insurance requirements, helping organizations make better technology decisions and focus resources on the controls that have the greatest effect on incident frequency, recovery, and financial loss. By aligning controls and documentation with insurer expectations, organizations can strengthen insurance readiness and support more productive applications, renewals, and coverage discussions.

Antigen also translates security gaps into estimated financial exposure, giving business leaders a clearer basis for prioritizing investments, avoiding unnecessary spending, and managing the total cost of cyber risk. For managed service providers, private equity firms, brokers, and consultants, the same methodology creates consistent security expectations and reporting across multiple companies or clients while accounting for each organization’s individual needs.

The Principle of Resilience By Design

Twelve outcomes define cyber resilience

Resilience by Design evaluates twelve essential outcomes covering security policies, incident response, AI governance, business continuity, disaster recovery, carrier-aligned controls, and insurance protection. Each outcome receives an evidence-based rating of In Place, Partial, or None/Unverified. Existing SOC 2 Type 2 reports, penetration tests, and compliance reports may serve as supporting evidence, subject to review.

One assessment across multiple frameworks

Each answer maps across applicable requirements from NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls, ISO/IEC 27001, OWASP SAMM, and CMMC. This reduces duplicate questionnaires and creates consistent evidence for security planning, compliance, customer reviews, and insurance discussions.

What your risk rating means

Antigen calculates a weighted score based on applicable assessment questions, and assigns one of five financial risk tiers based on estimated cost, downtime, affected systems and data, recovery capability, and potential insurance payments. These range from a limited event affecting one system to a critical incident involving prolonged disruption and more than $1 million in losses.

What you receive

Organizations receive a Current Estimated Risk rating, overall score, estimated breach cost, framework results, evidence ratings, and a prioritized security roadmap. Deliverables include a detailed results presentation and completed scoring workbook, with every result traceable to the organization’s answers and supporting evidence.

A certified Risk Management Organization guides the process, while Antigen helps implement and operate carrier-aligned controls based on the organization’s priorities.

Better controls can create better outcomes

Organizations using the framework have experienced, on average, six times fewer serious incidents, 90% to 100% lower incident costs, and annual insurance premium reductions of 30% to 60% or more. Organizations with qualifying controls may also become eligible for up to $1 million in financial warranty protection at no additional charge.

Results vary based on each organization’s risks, controls, implementation, insurance coverage, and program terms. Individual outcomes are not guaranteed.

How the roadmap reduces risk

The roadmap focuses first on the gaps that can have the greatest effect on an incident, including security policies, incident response, backups, managed detection, and identity protection. Over the following 18 months, organizations validate these measures through response exercises, penetration testing, and backup restoration tests.

Long-term goals include annual framework reviews, role-specific training, and insurance coverage that evolves with the business. Regular reassessments document progress for leadership, boards, customers, regulators, and insurance carriers.
